This Boudoir babe came to us in the studio to celebrate her 30th birthday in a big way! A lot of women think that boudoir photography is something to give a significant other as a treasured gift, like an anniversary gift or birthday present for them. And that is so true, to an extent!

Boudoir photography is more so a gift to the person doing the photoshoot. Boudoir photography allows individuals to celebrate their unique personalities and their feminine energy in a safe and creative environment. It celebrates a way to express their individuality and helps to empower women on their own terms with their bodies.

Boudoir also gives women the confidence to become vulnerable with themselves, which helps with the process of embracing vulnerability and owning one's sensuality can lead to personal growth.

Feelings of insecurity among women, as well as individuals in general, can be complex and influenced by various factors but a huge culprit is mainstream brainwashing by society. Think about it like this, you see so many “perfect bodies” all your life and you instantly assume their is something wrong with your. You see “young” influencers and movie stars and start to think you’re too old to be pretty. We are always comparing ourselves to others we are taught are “better than us and perfect”. I have read somewhere this quote “It's essential to recognize that addressing feelings of insecurity often involves a combination of self-reflection, building self-esteem, challenging negative thought patterns, seeking support from friends or professionals, and fostering a positive and supportive environment. Encouraging a culture of acceptance, diversity, and empowerment can contribute to creating a more inclusive and understanding society.”

“I went into this shoot excited to celebrate my next chapter in life. Getting braces on, quitting a job, finding out I was pregnant, and turning 30 all happened in a matter of 6 months. I had been feeling down about myself, but decided that I would do something special for my husband, and myself. Let me tell you, Kelsey was fantastic. We had to take a minute at one point due to the heat getting to me, but she continued to make sure through the whole process that I was okay. I left that day with a new found love for myself, and I thought I was pretty confident to begin with, for the most part. Kelsey let me, be me. I was able to shine the whole entire time, without the worry of someone judging. That to me was the most important part of the experience, which I had lacking in the last shoot I did. (Different photographer!!!). I absolutely enjoyed the whole process, and I was in awe with my photo reveal! I can't wait to share.”
